So, it is now 2011 and we had a fantastic 2010 year. (I am going to try and keep up with the blog) We welcomed a delightful baby girl. My sister welcomed her new baby 'Eli' on Dec 28th. In just a few days we will be having Olivia's 1st Birthday!! I can't believe she is already one year old!!! She has such a great personality. She really doesn't mind to play by herself, which is completely different from her brother, she is much more fearful than Hayden ever was. You have to be a lot more cautious and much more gentle with her. Must be a girl thing. :)

Hayden is a talking machine. He actually speaks in full sentences..although sometimes I still can't understand him. For the most part he is very clear. Right now Hayden LOVES Batman. Any and everything Batman. I was a little unsure about Batman because some of the bad guys I feel are a little inappropriate for a 2yr old. But I guess as long as he isn't watching Batman and only playing Batman it is okay. He still sleeps in our room. I am not very encouraged to move him either. They grow up way too fast anyway and these extra months I have him close is alright by me. Olivia sleeps in her own room and is a completely different sleeper than the rest of the family. Andrew,Hayden and I are not morning people. If you wake us up before we are ready we are not happy people. Olivia on the other hand...you can walk in her room at 2am and wake her up and she will just smile the biggest smile there is. She is such a happy baby.
Well, I didn't think I would have a new years resolution but I guess I do. Keep up with the blog. Wish me luck.

A lot of exciting things have happened since we last blogged. We had a new baby..Olivia. Olivia was born Jan 16, 2010. We were so excited to meet her. Her story is...my dr was talking about inducing when I was 38 weeks just to insure that he would be my dr. I went for my 37 week check up and he told me that she would not come on her own. Well, 3 days after that while Bruce and Emily were down the street visiting Sarah and Nick and their new baby Hayes my water broke. Bruce and Emily were due to come over at anytime. I however did not want Andrew to tell them that I 'thought' my water had broke for fear that I really had just wet myself. We went to hospital and indeed my water had broke. That was at 330pm. Epidural in at 630 and started pitocin at 7 because I was not having any contraction. I eventually learned that there was meconium (sp?) in the amniotic fluid. So, before she was born we had to have a dr and some nurses from the NICU come for her delivery. She was born at 1139 (15 mins after they told me it would be a few more hours). Andrew did not have the option to cut her cord as it was wrapped around her neck...twice. They had to rush her to the NICU drs and they thoroughly checked her out and to our amazement she was perfectly healthy!!! After not hearing her cry and not being able to see her for what seemed like forever...they brought her to me and she was absolutely beautiful!


A lot has happened with Hayden as well. He is on the verge of being completely potty trained! Yay for that. He talks a lot! He knows a lot of things. He is very indifferent towards his baby sister. I guess she is just too boring for him right now. :) As Hayden always has to be on the move. Doing something. He has become very imaginative and creative. He will draw scribbles on a piece of paper and say 'turtle' and then draw another scribble and say 'tree' and if you later ask him what those scribbles are he remembers which one was a turtle and which one is a tree. He is really into dinosaurs and he will march them around saying' bomp, bomp, bomp' and then 'roar' as he is attacking something. Hayden watches some tv and his favorites are Dora, Mickey Mouse and Chuggington. It is so cute when he watches Dora and the fox Swiper comes on Hayden says 'oh me' which is supposed to be 'oh man'. He is quite the delight to be around.
